Three Blackened Seasoning Recipes to Make at Home

It is quick and easy to make blackened seasoning that you will ever buy it prepared again. The wonderful thing is that you can improvise and change it up making it as spicy and hot as you like. You probably have all the ingredients already in your pantry. Remember, you can blacken just about any protein from chicken to pork to beef. Give these recipes a try!

RECIPE ONE:

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons smoked paprika (sweet or smoked – either or both will work)

  • 4 tablespoons onion powder

  • 4 tablespoons garlic powder

  • 4 tablespoons coconut sugar

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

  • 6 teaspoons sea salt

  • 4 teaspoons black pepper

  • 4 teaspoons white pepper

  • 4 teaspoons ground cumin

  • 2 teaspoons ground cayenne pepper

  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard

  • 1/8 teaspoons ground nutmeg

RECIPE TWO:

Ingredients

1 1/2 tablespoons paprika 


1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder 


1 tablespoon ground dried thyme 


1 teaspoon ground black pepper 


1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 


1 teaspoon dried basil 


1 teaspoon dried oregano

RECIPE THREE:

Ingredients

1 tablespoon paprika


4 teaspoons dried thyme

2 teaspoons onion powder

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 tablespoon white sugar


2 teaspoons salt

1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste

1 teaspoon dried oregano 


1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
